About The Meeker Area |
| "Meeker, Colorado - The Rocky
Mountains Best Kept Secret - "It takes a little extra to get here.....But that's part of the experience...."
Meeker, the county seat of Rio Blanco County, is
situated in the northwestern corner of Colorado. With a population of 2,400, Meeker is steeped in history and is
known as a haven for hunters and outdoor
enthusiasts.
"With low annual property taxes and the stable investment of buying land in one of the West's last quiet mountian communities, you can't go wrong when owning property in the White River Valley."
Meeker's elevation is 6,249 feet and our climate is typical of
western high country. Summer daytime high temperatures range
from the 70's to the mid-90's, and evening lows from the mid-40's to the high 50's. Winter brings beautiful snowfall and colder temperatures, perfect
for snowmobiles and cross country skiers. Meeker offers an endless array of outdoors activities. The Flat Tops Wilderness offers hundreds of miles of
backcountry hiking trails while the White River National Forest offers opportunities for nearly all types of recreation during every season!
